NAET: Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique
NAET was developed by Dr. Devi Nambudripad M.D., D.C, L.Ac., R.N. PhD. Of Buena
Park, California, over 20 years ago. Dr. Devi "discovered" NAET while using
acupuncture to treat herself during an allergic reaction.
 Who practices NAET?
NAET is legally performed only by a licensed health practitioner,
(including Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, allopathic doctors (MDs),
Dentists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Doctors of Osteopathy, and similar
licensed medical professionals) who has been trained by Dr. Nambudripad in
her clinic in Southern California.
NAET holds that all illness is a result of an imbalance in the flow of vital energy
(Qi) through the body. Any obstruction or blockage in this energy flow in the
pathways can cause an imbalance of too much energy or too little energy. Like a
dam in a raging river, on one side is too much accumulated energy and on the other
side, too little flow of energy. Imbalances can cause physical, psychological or
emotional symptoms by preventing the body from functioning biochemically as it
should. These blockages also cause weakness in your body as it tries to deal with
the energy of the offending substance. This weakness is how muscle testing
determines what substances you are allergic to.
This treatment essentially reprograms the brain and nervous system to no longer
react to an offending substance. It uses safe, painless acupuncture techniques
to accomplish this.
NAET clears an allergy by rebalancing your body's energy when you are in contact
with the energy of the offending substance. When you come in contact with the
substance in the future, it's energy will no longer cause a disruption in your
body's energy. You no longer need to avoid what was
previously making you ill. Removing blockages and imbalances also enables your
body to heal by helping restore the biochemical processes which were disrupted.
You do not need to know anything about NAET, or the concepts behind it, for NAET
to work. You also do not need to "believe" in these concepts for NAET to work.
Briefly, how does NAET work?
Allergic reactions are the result of an incorrect response by the brain and central
nervous system. Allergic reactions are unusual or exaggerated responses which occur
when a person's body (energy field) is in contact with the energy (electromagnetic
field) of another substance. A substance is toxic or nontoxic according to how the
brain perceives it. If it perceives it as toxic, it will send the wrong signal to
the nervous system and cause blockages in the energy (acupuncture) channels. If it
perceives it as nontoxic it will aid the energy flow in the body's channels, h
elping to clear any blockage present.
Why is allergy elimination important?
Many health problems in people all over the world are actually undiagnosed
allergic reactions which then lower the immune system and allow diseases to attack
the weakened body. According to Dr. Devi "There is hardly any human disease or
condition in which allergic factors are not involved". Any substance under the
sun, including sunlight itself, can cause an allergic reaction in any
individual. " A person can be allergic to foods, radiation, perfumes, chemicals,
environmental conditions, plants, animals, antibiotics, vaccinations, their own
body chemicals (hormones, neurotransmitters), and surprisingly, other people".
